Summary:PURPOSE:To decrease the wait time of an opposite party by allowing a master set to store a dial number at dialing till a new trunk line is acquired. CONSTITUTION:A telephone system consists of a master set 1 connecting to a trunk line 3 and plural telephone sets 2 connected by extensions 4. The master set 1 stores a request of automatic redialing and an identification number of its relevant telephone set, detects an incoming call till trunk line acquisition after release of trunk line at repetitive redialing, interrupts succeeding redialing in case of detecting the incoming call, applies incoming processing and restarts redialing based on the storage content. Thus, the talking with an opposite party during the automatic redialing is possible by detecting an incoming call between the trunk line release and the trunk line acquisition in the automatic redialing state. Thus, the wait time of an opposite party is reduced.
