PURPOSE:To improve the density of a magnetic recording by causing the surface of a non-magnetic substance, which faces to a recording medium, to be parallel to the proceeding recording medium and magnetizing both the surface layer and depth layer of the recording medium in the same direction. CONSTITUTION:Since the surface of a trailing side magnetic pole 4 to face to a recording medium 2 is caused to be the opened surface in a proceeding direction to the proceeding recording medium 2, an equal magnetic field curve is distributed in a shape to turn into the opened surface. Thus, in an area where the recording medium 2 in a space area C, an equal magnetic field curve 7 cross to the recording medium 2 almost vertically. As the result, a magnetization transition area 2-1 goes to be almost vertical to the surface of the recording medium 2. Namely, the both surface layer and depth layer of the recording medium 2 are magnetized in the same direction. Thus, the density of the magnetic recording can be improved.
