Summary:PURPOSE:To easily separate photosensitive toner particles of respective colors from photosensitive toner particles of other colors by separating photosensitive toner having prescribed sensitivity to prescribed light from insensitive photosensitive toner. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic sleeve 14 and a recovery drum 31 are rotated, photosensitive toner which is charged by friction electrostatically to the negative polarity are conveyed on their peripheral surfaces with carriers, and light with prescribed wavelength which is projected by a light source 22 while having prescribed intensity and transmitted through an interference filter 23 is projected on the photosensitive toner. The photosensitive toner having prescribed photosensitivity is charged positively and photosensitive toner attracted on the peripheral surface of the recovery drum 31 is scraped off by a 1st blade 33 and collected in a 1st chamber 32b. The photosensitive toner which has no photosensitivity, on the other hand, is scraped off by a 2nd blade 34 into a 2nd chamber 32c of a recovery chamber 32. Thus, the photosensitive toner in an electrostatic charging chamber 11 is classified into the light having the prescribed photosensitivity and light having no photosensitivity and then photosensitive toner in a toner hopper 12 is supplied newly into the electrostatic charging chamber 11 and classified by repeating said operation.
