(C=0.78, chloroform); solubility, soluble in methanol, acetone, ethyl acetate and chloroform and insoluble in water, benzene and n-hexane, etc. USE:An antigermicide against human tuberculosis and intermediate for producing other mycoplanecin derivative. PREPARATION:A compound expressed by formula II obtained by treating mycoplanecin with an acid or reducing mycoplanecin is treated with an acid.
