PURPOSE:To prevent erroneous detection caused by dust, by detecting the continuity/non-continuity of each conductive part with a contact element by the rotation of a rotary body to detect the angle of rotation of the rotary body. CONSTITUTION:When a handle 2 is rotated, a rotary cylinder 8 rotates in connection with the handle 2, and contact elements 12A, 12B, 12C, 13A, 13B, 13C and the conductive part 7 of the rotary cylinder 8 repeat ON/OFF. At this time, the combination signal of ON/OFF is sent to the operation means provided on the side of a car body from a connector to be obtained as the angle of rotation of the handle 2 and the rotary direction of the handle 2 is detected on the basis of the change of the pattern of the signal. As mentioned above, by detecting an angle-of-rotation position on the basis of electrical continuity/ non-continuity, erroneous detection caused by dust is eliminated.
