Summary:PURPOSE:To improve the listing ability for menus by controlling the array displaying of the item lists of the menus on a display means according to the calculation result of an array calculating means and displaying the items of the menus. CONSTITUTION:This controller is equipped with an area calculating means such as a central processing unit(CPU) 14 which calculates the display areas of respective items according to display data, the array calculating means such as a CPU 14 which calculates the array of items of all the menus that can be displayed on display means 17 and 18 according to the calculated display area, and a CPU 14 which controls the array displaying of the items of the menus on a display device 18 according to the calculation result of the CPU 14, and an array display control means such as a display control part 17. Then, the array displaying of the items of the menus is controlled to display all the items of as many menus as possible on the screen of the display device. Consequently, the items are arrayed properly to improve the listing ability for the menus.
