PURPOSE:To prevent an edge cleaning member from being partially worn by cleaning an edge while abutting the outer peripheral edge of a disk at a position deviated from a rotational center on the tip surface of the edge cleaning member by a prescribed amount. CONSTITUTION:In the state of abutting an edge E of a disk D to an edge cleaning member 10 in the range of width B, while rotationally driving an edge cleaning part 10 by a rotary shaft 11, the outer peripheral edge E of the disk D is cleaned by a brush by supplying cleaning liquid. At the time of cleaning, force F in a tangential direction is operated to the disk D by the rotation of the edge cleaning member 10. The vector of this force F is equipped with components such as a component F1 in a Y axis direction and a component F2 in an X axis direction. This component in the Y direction is operated in the same direction over the whole abutted part of the disk D to the edge cleaning member 10. Therefore, by the force of the vector component F1 to the disk D, the disk D is rotationally driven and automatically rotated during cleaning even without rotationally driving the disk D by a special means. Then, the outer peripheral edge E can be cleaned as a whole.
