Summary:PURPOSE:To confirm placement of socket and prevent fall of channel fastener and over tightening of bolts by providing a detection means for the placing of wrench socket on a bolt head, locking means of grasping means for a bolt and a torque control means for the tightening torque. CONSTITUTION:A channel fastener handling machine 31 has a housing 32 having a handle at the top. At the lower end of the housing 32, a channel guide 34 to adjust the channel fastener 3 at the center of bolt 4, is provided. When a wrench socket 39 is adapted on the head of bolt 4, a placement detection means 56 slides upward so that its top shows the placement. The bolt 4 is completely grasped by a grasp means 40. The group means 40 can be locked with a lock means 42. Then the bolt 4 is tightened with a rotary handle 54 to a specified torque. Over tightening is prevented by a torque control means 53.
