Summary:PURPOSE:To moderate impact force applied to the front part of a body at the time of a collision in the battery fitting structure of an electric automobile. CONSTITUTION:Plural rectangular solid shape battery carriers 10 long in the vehicle width direction with batteries enclosed therein are disposed in the longitudinal direction of a body. One of both ends in the vehicle width direction of each battery carrier 10 is supported at a floor 1 through a bearing, and the other end is protrusively provided with a slider. The floor 1 is provided with a guide rail 15 for supporting the head 12a of the slider in a turning path of 90 deg. toward the front side of the body around a bearing position as the center. Each battery carrier 10 has a stopper attached thereto so as to release constraint and rotate the battery carrier 10 toward the front side of the body along the guide rail 15 when inertial force exceeding the specified value is applied frontward to the battery carrier 10 at the collision time of the body. The floor 1 is provided with shock absorbing bodies 9-9h for absorbing kinetic energy by elasticity when the body front side peripheral surface of each battery carrier 10 is rotated approximately by 90 deg. toward the front side of the body to come in contact.
