Summary:PURPOSE:To send a transmission signal mutually and to send a data without error at the time of receiving by using a carrier of a prescribed frequency to change its duty ratio. CONSTITUTION:A data communication equipment has a write/readout control unit 1 being a 1st unit and an ID unit 3 being the 2nd unit fitted to a commodity 2 or the like. After a host control device 4 sends a transmission control signal CT to the unit 1, a transmission data SD is sent and a reception data RD obtained from the unit 1 is read. A data demodulation means of the 2nd unit 3 uses a digital comparator having a hysteresis based on a clock signal to be discriminated and the output of the comparator so as to demodulate the pulse width. Even if the 1st unit changes to the reception state and 1st or 2nd duty ratio signal is changed into a 3rd duty ratio signal, the demodulation signal is not fluctuated.
