Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain the cap core with a screw, to be used for a distribution line filter, having excellent machinability and a small high frequency loss at a low cost by a method wherein a screw is formed on the sintered body consisting of the compositional ratio of Fe2O3 and ZnO within the specifically prescribed range. CONSTITUTION:The subject cap core, which is formed by providing a screw on the sintered body consisting of the composition within the range of 30-52mol% for Fe2O3, 1-12mol% for CuO, and 36-69mol% for ZnO, is used. For example, the ZnO ferrite consisting of 42.5mol% Fe2O3, 57.5mol% ZnO, CuO is replaced with ZnO within the limit of 1-12mol%, ferrite is formed using the ordinary method, and it is pulverized. Subsequently, a PVA is added, a granulating operation is conducted, and after a pressure-molding work has been performed, a sintering work is conducted at 1250 deg.C in the air, and a sintered body is obtained. The surface of said sintered body is ground using a grindstone, a thread is cut, and a threaded cap core is obtained.
