Summary:PURPOSE:To prevent disorder of a toner image and a carry-over phenomenon in the re-stage in the case of an overlap development, by using a specific developing roller and a developer, respectively, for the developing process of the second time and thereafter. CONSTITUTION:In a recording method for executing repeatedly a developing process plural times, a developing roller 11 and a prescribed developer are used for the developing process of at least a second time and thereafter. Said roller 11 consists of a developing sleeve 12 and a magnet roller 13, has an asymmetrical seven pole magnetized pattern in which magnetic poles of the same polarity are adjacent to each other in a developing nip area, and also, that of >=500 Gs magnetic flux density of a developing main pole is used, and it is desirable that a level difference between a crest and a trough in a magnetic flux distribution of the main pole is >=200 Gs. Also, as for the developer, a two-component developer consisting of a toner, and a magnetic carrier whose density is <=4.0g/cm is used.
