Summary:PURPOSE:To simplify an additional component and to make a receiver small in size by using a frame memory in a temporary filter circuit so as to execute a still picture display function. CONSTITUTION:A one-frame luminance signal and a chrominance signal subject to time base compression are stored in the frame memory 18 in the temporary filter circuit 17 and while the still picture display mode is selected, the stored luminance signal and the chrominance signal are repetitively outputted. Thus, the same luminance and chrominance signals are repetitively outputted to execute the still picture display. Thus, the still picture display function is executed with the addition of simple constitution.
