Summary:To provide a positive pole active material which can have a more improved battery property level, or the like.SOLUTION: A particle of a transition metal complex hydroxide including a transition metal and an added element having an unbalanced distribution in the particle includes a secondary particle formed by aggregating of a plurality of primary particles. The secondary particle includes: a center part positioned at a site including a center of the secondary particle and formed by aggregating of a plurality of fine primary particles; and an outer peripheral part positioned on an outside of the center part, larger than the fine primary particles, and formed by aggregating of plate-shaped primary particles. The fine primary particle of the center part contains a higher concentration of the added element therein than the plate-shaped primary particle of the outer peripheral part.
