To provide a catheter allowing an operator to recognize arrival of a therapeutic device to a distal opening and a proximal opening of the catheter including a distal tube with the distal opening and the proximal opening, and a linear shaft extending from the distal tube to the proximal side, and a medical system.SOLUTION: A guide extension catheter 10 for inserting a therapeutic device 20 including a long therapeutic shaft 21 with a depth marker 24, comprises a distal tube 11 including a distal lumen 13 penetrating from a distal opening 15 to a proximal opening 14, formed therein, and a linear shaft 12. The linear shaft 12 includes a visible first marker 17 representing arrival of a prescribed position of the therapeutic device 20 to the distal opening 15 by a positional relation thereof with the depth marker 24, and a visible second marker 18 representing arrival of the prescribed position of the therapeutic device 20 to the proximal opening 14 by a positional relation thereof with the depth marker 24.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】先端開口および基端開口を有する先端チューブおよび先端チューブから基端側へ延在する線状シャフトを有するカテーテルの先端開口および基端開口に治療用デバイスが到達したことを術者に認識可能とするカテーテルおよび医療システムを提供する。【解決手段】先端開口１５から基端開口１４まで貫通する先端ルーメン１３が形成された先端チューブ１１および線状シャフト１２を有し、深度マーカー２４を備える長尺な治療用シャフト２１を有する治療用デバイス２０を挿入可能なガイドエクステンションカテーテル１０であって、線状シャフト１２は、治療用デバイス２０の所定の位置が先端開口１５に到達したことを深度マーカー２４との位置関係により示す視認可能な第１マーカー１７と、治療用デバイス２０の所定の位置が基端開口１４に到達したことを深度マーカー２４との位置関係により示す視認可能な第２マーカー１８と、を有する。【選択図】図１
