Summary: | To provide a developing device that uses a non-magnetic one-component developing system, and can effectively prevent fusion of toner to a regulation blade with a simple configuration, and an image forming apparatus including the same.SOLUTION: A developing device has a developer container, a developer carrier, and a regulation blade, and supplies toner to an image carrier on which an electrostatic latent image is formed. The developer container stores non-magnetic one-component developer consisting only of toner. The developer carrier is manufactured by a polishing method, comprises a rotary shaft and a roller part laminated on an outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft, and carries toner on an outer peripheral surface of the roller part to form a toner layer. The regulation blade is in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the roller part to regulate the layer thickness of the toner layer. When the ten-point average roughness in a circumferential direction and in an axial direction of the roller part are defined as Rz1 and Rz2, respectively, Rz1/Rz2≤1.5 is satisfied. The linear contact pressure of the regulation blade against the roller part is 15 N/m or more and 40 N/m or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】非磁性一成分現像方式を用いる構成において、規制ブレードへのトナー融着を簡易な構成で効果的に抑制可能な現像装置およびそれを備えた画像形成装置を提供する。【解決手段】現像装置は、現像容器と、現像剤担持体と、規制ブレードと、を有し、静電潜像が形成された像担持体にトナーを供給する。現像容器は、トナーのみからなる非磁性一成分現像剤を収容する。現像剤担持体は、研磨法により製造され、回転軸と、回転軸の外周面に積層されるローラー部と、を備え、ローラー部の外周面にトナーを担持することによりトナー層が形成される。規制ブレードは、ローラー部の外周面に接触してトナー層の層厚を規制する。ローラー部の周方向および軸方向における十点平均粗さを、それぞれRz1、Rz2とするとき、Rz1/Rz2≦1.5であり、ローラー部に対する規制ブレードの接触線圧が15[N/m]以上40[N/m]以下である。【選択図】図3 |
