Summary:To provide a cylinder head which can deal with high lean burn and high EGR with a simple structure.SOLUTION: A pair of intake outlet holes 9a and a pair of exhaust inlet holes 10a are open at a pent-roof type downward recessed part 8 formed at a head body 4. An intake valve seat 13 is fitted in each intake outlet hole 9a, and a recessed part 19 configured to guide tumble flow toward an ignition plug 18 is formed at a portion between the adjacent intake valve seats 13. Since a part of the intake valve seat 13 is utilized to form the recessed part 19, the recessed part 19 having a necessary cross sectional area can be formed without reducing an inner diameter of the intake outlet hole 9a and an outer diameter of the intake valve seat 13. Thus, it is possible to cause the tumble flow to be blown onto the ignition plug 18 reliably without causing reduction of an intake amount and significant increase of costs to improve combustibility.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】高リーンバーン化、高EGR化に簡単な構造で対応できるシリンダヘッドを提供する。【解決手段】ヘッド本体4に形成されたペントルーフ型の下向き凹所8に、一対ずつの吸気出口穴9aと排気入り口穴10aとが開口している。吸気出口穴9aには吸気用バルブシート13を嵌着しており、隣り合った吸気用バルブシート13の間の部位に、タンブル流を点火プラグ18に向けてガイドする凹部19が形成されている。吸気用バルブシート13の一部を利用して凹部19を形成しているため、吸気出口穴9aの内径や吸気用バルブシート13の外径を縮小することなく、必要な断面積の凹部19を形成できる。従って、吸気量低下やコストの大幅アップをもたらすことなく、タンブル流を点火プラグ18にしっかりと当てて燃焼性を向上できる。【選択図】図2
