To assist a user to effectively memorize a word that the user desires to memorize.SOLUTION: A memory assistance program using animation works includes an extraction procedure, a generation procedure, an updating procedure, and an aroma control procedure. The extraction procedure extracts a word selected by a user from a predetermined subtitle while the subtitle is displayed, out of subtitles of a predetermined video image that the user is viewing, and the predetermined subtitle. The generation procedure generates a dictionary containing words selected by the user, for each video image, from the words extracted by the extraction procedure and the predetermined subtitle extracted by the extraction procedure. The updating procedure updates the dictionary generated by the generation procedure so that the word is displayed at a higher place as the predetermined subtitle is displayed earlier in the subtitles of the predetermined video image. The aroma control procedure discharges, when a candidate word to be added to a first region is selected out of words included in the subtitle of the predetermined video image, an aroma based on a character which utters the subtitle of the selected word.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 25 【課題】利用者が記憶したい単語を効果的に記憶させ易くすること。【解決手段】アニメーション作品を用いた記憶支援プログラムは、抽出手順と、生成手順と、更新手順と、芳香制御手順とを有する。抽出手順は、利用者が視聴中の所定映像動画の字幕のうち所定字幕が表示中に所定字幕から利用者が選択した単語と、所定字幕とを抽出する。生成手順は、抽出手順により抽出された単語と、抽出手順により抽出された所定字幕を、映像動画ごとに、利用者が選択した単語をまとめた辞書を生成する。更新手順は、所定映像動画の字幕の中で所定字幕が表示される表示順が早いほど、単語が上位に表示されるように生成手順により生成された辞書を更新する。芳香制御手順は、所定映像動画の字幕に含まれる単語のうち、第１領域へ追加される対象となる候補の単語が選択された場合には、選択された単語の字幕の発話者であるキャラクターをイメージした香りを放出させる。【選択図】図２５
