Summary:To provide an optical system and a specimen analyzer capable of achieving miniaturization.SOLUTION: An optical system 100 includes: a light source 111 for emitting light; an irradiation optical system IS for irradiating illumination light in which a plurality of diffracted light beams generated by a diffraction optical element 114 are distributed; a flow cell 101 in which a sample containing cells is caused to flow; and light receiving units 123, 133, 143 for receiving light generated from the cells flowing in the flow cell 101 by irradiation of the illumination light.
