To provide an auxiliary storage box which can achieve high functionality even when used as a garbage box.SOLUTION: An auxiliary storage box 13 is stored within a storage box 1 including a box body 2 and a lid body 3 and may be attached to or detached from the storage box 1. The auxiliary storage box 13 includes: a detachable auxiliary box body 14 to be stored in the box body 2; an auxiliary lid body 15 which is detachably held at the rear surface side of the lid body 3 so that a first surface 22a faces the auxiliary box body 14 and closes an opening 19 of the auxiliary box body 14 when the lid body 3 closes the box body 2; and an outward-directed flange 16 serving as a lid receiving part formed at the opening 19 at an upper part of the auxiliary box body 14.
