Summary:To provide a work machine and a position detection device which can accurately detect a connection position between a second action part and a third action part with simple structures.SOLUTION: A work machine includes a work machine body, a first action part (boom), a second action part (arm), an imaging part, and a position detection part. The first action part has one end connected to the work machine body, and is displaced with respect to the work machine body. The second action part is linked with the other end of the first action part. The imaging part is provided on the work machine body, and images the one end on the link side, in the second action part.
