To provide an ink jet recording device and an ink jet recording system, which can remotely execute maintenance management such as printing head cleaning processing.SOLUTION: An ink jet recording device includes: a printing head which has a nozzle for granulating and jetting ink, a charge electrode, a deflection electrode, and a gutter; a body which has an ink supply path for supplying ink in an ink container to the printing head, an ink recovery path for recovering non-use ink in the ink container, a solvent supply path for supplying solvent in a solvent container to the ink container, and a flow rate adjustment section for adjusting a flow of ink and solvent; a body control section which controls operations of the flow rate adjustment section and the printing head; and a head mounting unit which has a printing head detector for detecting that the printing head is mounted in a head mounting section.
