To provide an actuator for a discharge container and a discharge container capable of holding a container body well and having good operability.SOLUTION: There is provided an actuator 100 for a discharge container, including: a discharge head part 20 having a discharge cylinder part 21 having a discharge port 21a for discharging contents, and attached to a stem 12 erected on a mouth part 11 of a container body 10 in which the contents are accommodated; and a discharge lever 30 for pushing the discharge head part 20 in an axial direction of the stem 12. The discharge lever 30 includes: a hinge part 31; an operating piece 32 having one end connected to the hinge part 31 and the other end serving as a pushing part; and a push-in protrusion 33 provided on a lower surface of the operating piece 32 and projecting toward the discharge head part 20 side. The pushing part is arranged closer to the discharge port 21a than the hinge part 31.
