Summary:To detect and follow a maximum power point in a power control device for an on-vehicle solar panel.SOLUTION: In a power control device 10 for an on-vehicle solar panel, a control unit 28 repeatedly executes electric power adjusting control that performs tracking control after performing search control. A first search control is control in which a voltage on one side is increased in a step-wise manner in unit of a first voltage width, and first maximum electric power is detected based on electric power on the one side at each step. A second search control is control in which a voltage on the one side is increased in a step-wise manner in unit of a second voltage width, and second maximum electric power is detected based on electric power on the one side at each step. The tracking control is control that causes electric power on one side of an electric power conversion unit 30 to follow the second maximum electric power detected by the search control. A control unit 28 sets a frequency of the step-wise increase or decrease of the voltage on the one side to 1 kHz or more in either of the first search control and the second search control, and sets a length of each time period of each stage to 0.05 ms or more and less than 100 ms.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】車載ソーラパネル用の電力制御装置において、最大電力点の検出及び追従を迅速に行う。【解決手段】車載ソーラパネル用の電力制御装置10において、制御部28は、探索制御を行った後に追従制御を行う電力調整制御を繰り返し実行する。第1探索制御は、一方側の電圧を第1電圧幅で段階的に増加させ、各段階での一方側の電力に基づいて第1最大電力を検出する制御である。第2探索制御は、第2電圧幅で一方側の電圧を段階的に増加させ、各段階での一方側の電力に基づいて第2最大電力を検出する制御である。追従制御は、電力変換部30の一方側の電力を探索制御で検出された第2最大電力に追従させる制御である。制御部28は、第1探索制御及び第2探索制御のいずれでも一方側の電圧の段階的な増加又は減少の周波数を1kHz以上とし且つ各段階の各期間の長さを0.05ms以上且つ100ms未満とする。【選択図】図1
