Summary:To provide a fluid machine which can inhibit deterioration of seal performance by a seal member due to elastic deformation of the seal member caused by wobbling of a rotary shaft.SOLUTION: In a root pump, a buffer member 34 located adjacent to a second seal member 28 in a radial direction is provided between a rotor housing 14 and a rotary shaft 16. The buffer member 34 has an annular shape through which the rotary shaft 16 penetrates. A first groove 361 extending in a circumferential direction of the rotary shaft 16 is opened on a first end surface 34a of the buffer member 34 so as to elastically deform the buffer member 34 more than the second seal member 28. Further, a second groove 362 extending in the circumferential direction of the rotary shaft 16 is opened on a second end surface of the buffer member 34 so as to elastically deform the buffer member 34 more than the second seal member 28.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】回転軸の軸ブレに伴うシール部材の弾性変形を原因として、シール部材によるシール性能が低下することを抑制できる流体機械を提供すること。【解決手段】ルーツポンプにおいて、ロータハウジング14と回転軸16との間には、第2シール部材28と径方向に隣接する緩衝部材34が設けられている。緩衝部材34は、回転軸16が貫通する環状である。緩衝部材34の第1端面34aには、緩衝部材34を第2シール部材28よりも弾性変形させるように、回転軸16の周方向へ延在する第1溝361が開口している。また、緩衝部材34の第2端面には、緩衝部材34を第2シール部材28よりも弾性変形させるように、回転軸16の周方向へ延在する第2溝362が開口している。【選択図】図4
