To provide an image forming apparatus capable of more stable drive transmission.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: an apparatus body having a driving source that supplies driving force, a rotary member that is rotated about a rotation axis by the driving force, and a first coupling that is rotatable about the rotation axis and movable in an axial direction; and a unit attachable to and detachable from the apparatus body, the unit having a second coupling that receives the driving force by being engaged with the first coupling. The rotary member has an abutting portion. The first coupling has an abutted portion that is abutted with the abutting portion and is configured to rotate in a first rotation direction together with the rotary member in a case where the abutted portion is pressed against the abutting portion.
