To provide an epoxy resin composition from which a resin cured product excellent in flame retardancy, dynamic characteristics and heat resistance can be obtained by curing; and a prepreg using the same and a fiber-reinforced composite material which is excellent in fire resistance.SOLUTION: An epoxy resin composition containing an epoxy resin contains [A] a bifunctional or less glycidylamine type epoxy resin having one or more ring structures of a four- or more-membered ring, [B] a trifunctional or more epoxy resin, [C] a phosphorus-based flame retardant which is selected from the group consisting of a phosphorus-based compound having a specific structure or a red phosphorus, and [D] a filler composed of a metal hydroxide, and contains prescribed amounts of the component [A] and the component [B] with respect to 100 pts.mass of the total amount of the epoxy resin, wherein a ratio of a percentage content of the component [D] to a phosphorus atom percentage content is within a specific range in the resin composition.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】本発明は、硬化させることにより、難燃性、力学特性および耐熱性に優れた樹脂硬化物を得ることができるエポキシ樹脂組成物、並びに、それを用いたプリプレグおよび耐火性に優れた繊維強化複合材料を提供することを目的とする。【解決手段】上記目的を達成するエポキシ樹脂を含むエポキシ樹脂組成物は、［Ａ］４員環以上の環構造を一つ以上有する２官能以下のグリシジルアミン型エポキシ樹脂、［Ｂ］３官能以上のエポキシ樹脂、［Ｃ］特定の構造を有するリン系化合物または赤リンからなる群から選ばれるリン系難燃剤、［Ｄ］金属水酸化物からなるフィラーを含むものであり、エポキシ樹脂の総量１００質量部に対して、成分［Ａ］および成分［Ｂ］のそれぞれが所定の配合量含まれ、樹脂組成物中において、成分［Ｄ］の含有率のリン原子含有率に対する比が特定範囲のものである。【選択図】なし
