To provide a microwave which achieves downsizing of an attenuation mechanism while easing an impact caused by closing a door with the attenuation mechanism.SOLUTION: A microwave includes: a microwave body 10; a door D which is rotatably provided at the microwave body 10 and opens or closes an opening of the microwave body 10; a detection switch SW which is provided at the microwave body 10 and detects an opening/closing state of the door D; a power transmission mechanism 20 which is disposed between the detection switch SW and the door D in a closed position, receives force from a free end D1 of the door D moving toward the closed position, and transmits the force to the detection switch SW; and an attenuation mechanism 30 which is provided at the power transmission mechanism 20 to attenuate a moving speed of the door D moving to the closed position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】扉が閉める際の衝撃を減衰機構により緩和しつつ、減衰機構の小型化をも図る。【解決手段】レンジ本体１０と、レンジ本体１０に回転可能に設けられて、レンジ本体１０の開口を開閉する扉Ｄと、レンジ本体１０に設けられて、扉Ｄの開閉状態を検知する検知スイッチＳＷと、検知スイッチＳＷと閉塞位置にある扉Ｄとの間に介在して、閉塞位置に向かう扉Ｄの自由端部Ｄ１から力を受けるとともに、その力を検知スイッチＳＷに伝達する動力伝達機構２０と、動力伝達機構２０に設けられて、閉塞位置に向かう扉Ｄの移動速度を減衰させる減衰機構３０とを備えるようにした。【選択図】図２
