To provide an apartment building capable of increasing an aspect ratio while suppressing increase in construction costs.SOLUTION: An apartment building 1 having multiple levels includes: a pair of ramen frames 10 that is constructed across a column direction and arranged to face each other at both ends of a beam direction; and at least one shear wall 20 that extends in the beam direction in each level to resist horizontal force in the beam direction. The number of shear walls 20 placed at each level is less than or equal to the number of shear walls 20 in a level to which each level is adjacent and which is at a lower side of each level.
