Summary:To provide processes for preparation, purification, and recovery of intermediates formed in integrated processes utilizing chlorophenol salts such as 2,5-dichlorophenol and/or a salt thereof as starting material, including the intermediate 3,6-dichlorosalicylic acid (3,6-DCSA) formed during preparation of dicamba from 2,5-dichlorophenol.SOLUTION: A process for preparation and recovery of 3,6-dichlorosalicylic acid (3,6-DCSA) and/or a salt thereof comprises: carboxylating 2,5-dichlorophenol in an organic reaction medium comprising an organic solvent so as to form carboxylation product slurry containing impurities; bringing it into contact with an organic solvent and an aqueous medium in a fractional liquid-liquid extraction (FLLE) zone so as to transfer the impurities to an organic phase and transfer the 3,6-DCSA or salt thereof to an aqueous phase; and recovering an aqueous phase extract comprising salts of 6-DCSA from the FLLE zone.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】2,5-ジクロロフェノールからのジカンバの調製中に形成する中間体3,6-ジクロロサリチル酸(3,6-DCSA)を含めて2,5-ジクロロフェノールおよび/またはその塩などのクロロフェノール塩を出発材料として利用する統合プロセスで形成される中間体を調製、精製および回収する方法を提供する。【解決手段】3,6-ジクロロサリチル酸(3,6-DCSA)および/またはその塩の製造および回収のための方法であって、有機溶媒を含む有機反応媒体中で2,5-ジクロロフェノールをカルボキシル化し、不純物を含むカルボキシル化生成物スラリーを形成し、分配液液抽出(FLLE)区域において有機溶媒、水性媒体と接触させて不純物を有機相へ移し、3,6-DCSAまたはその塩を水相へ移し、さらに、6-DCSAの塩を含む水相抽出物を前記FLLE区域から回収することを含む方法。【選択図】図1
