Summary:To provide a valve plug having high abrasion resistance and impact resistance.SOLUTION: A valve plug 30 has: a base part 32 having an annular contact surface 32s, which comes in contact with a valve seat when the valve plug 30 is fully closed, at an end; an insertion part 33 having an outer peripheral surface 33s connected to the contact surface 32s; and a tip part 34 including an apical surface 34s, connected to the outer peripheral surface 33s, and having a circular truncated cone shape. The valve plug 30 is entirely molded by a ceramic. Since the entire valve plug 30 is molded by the ceramic, the valve plug achieves high abrasion resistance.
