Summary: | To suppress reduction in accuracy of detection of an image for inspection by a sensor even when an error occurs in installation of the sensor.SOLUTION: An optical sensor 30 detects a linear image for inspection formed by an image forming unit 5 by using detection spots on an intermediate transfer belt 20. A control unit 10 acquires a color shift amount that is an amount of shift between formation positions of images in different colors on the basis of a result of detection of the image for inspection performed by the optical sensor 30, and corrects color shift of an image formed by the image forming unit 5 on the basis of the color shift amount. The control unit 10 further acquires a relative positional shift amount between a plurality of images for inspection in the same color and the detection spots in a main scanning direction, on the basis of results of detection of the plurality of images for inspection in the same color formed at different angles with respect to the main scanning direction, and corrects the formation positions of the images for inspection formed by the image forming unit 5 in the main scanning direction according to the relative positional shift amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 14
【課題】センサの設置誤差が発生した場合においても、当該センサによる検査用画像の検知精度の低下を抑制する。【解決手段】光学センサ30は、画像形成部5によって形成された線状の検査用画像を、中間転写ベルト20上の検知スポットを用いて検知する。制御部10は、光学センサ30による検査用画像の検知結果に基づいて、異なる色の画像の形成位置のずれ量である色ずれ量を取得し、色ずれ量に基づいて、画像形成部5によって形成される画像の色ずれを補正する。制御部10は更に、主走査方向に対してそれぞれ異なる角度で形成された複数の同色の検査用画像の検知結果に基づいて、主走査方向における当該複数の同色の検査用画像と検知スポットとの相対的な位置ずれ量を取得し、相対的な位置ずれ量に応じて、主走査方向における画像形成部5による検査用画像の形成位置を補正する。【選択図】図14 |
