Summary:To provide a technique for reducing adverse effects caused by a structure formed around a diffraction grating.SOLUTION: The light guide plate unit includes: a light guide plate; a first diffraction grating provided on one surface of the light guide plate; a second diffraction grating for diffracting light diffracted by the first diffraction grating; and a structure having a mountain-like shape between the first diffraction grating and the second diffraction grating. When the MTF value of light right before entering the mountain-like shape is X10 and the MTF value of light right after passing through the mountain-like shape is Y10 in a case where the spacial frequency is 10cycle/deg, the following expression 1 is satisfied.
