To provide a head gear assembly for a full face subnasal type breathing mask.SOLUTION: An assembly is a head gear assembly 2180 comprising: a rear panel; a parietal region strap 2808; and a strap assembly including a pair of facing upper side straps 2804 and a pair of facing lower side straps 2802. Each free end of each upper strap is coupled to a head gear connector element. The head gear connector element extends in a lateral direction over a frame of a breathing mask below a tip end of the nose of a user, and is detachably fastened to the frame. There is also provided a breathing mask assembly 2100 which has a mask frame 2178 which has a breathing gas inlet receiving supply of a breathing gas, and delivering the breathing gas to a cushion module 2150.
