Summary:To suitably design required sound absorption performance.SOLUTION: There is provided a sound absorption material formed by three-dimensional molding, which is formed in one piece by periodically arranging the smallest unit cell, and provided with a fibrous solid that is fibrous and a gap that is a void space outside the fibrous solid. In a design method for designing a sound absorption material to achieve required sound absorption performance, the smallest unit cell includes as design parameters: a fiber diameter of the fibrous solid; a fiber filling ratio that is the ratio of the fibrous solid to the void space; and fiber orientation that is a fiber direction of the fibrous solid. The design method executes the steps of: obtaining the required sound absorption parameters for the required sound absorption performance; designing a sound absorption material design model; obtaining design sound absorption parameters relating to sound absorption performance of the designed sound absorption material design model; and performing optimization calculations so that the design sound absorption parameters satisfy the required sound absorption parameters, and resetting the design sound absorption parameters based on the calculation results, and re-designing the sound absorption material design model.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】要求される吸音性能を好適に設計する。【解決手段】三次元造形により形成される吸音材であって、最小単位セルを周期的に並べて一体に造形されており、繊維状となる繊維状固体と、繊維状固体の外側の中空空間となる空隙と、を備える。要求吸音性能となる吸音材を設計する吸音材の設計方法において、最小単位セルは、設計パラメータとして、繊維状固体の繊維径と、繊維状固体と空隙との割合である繊維充填率と、繊維状固体の繊維方向となる繊維配向と、を含み、要求吸音性能に関する要求吸音パラメータを取得するステップと、吸音材設計モデルを設計するステップと、設計された吸音材設計モデルの吸音性能に関する設計吸音パラメータを取得するステップと、設計吸音パラメータが要求吸音パラメータを満足するように最適化計算を実行し、計算結果に基づいて設計吸音パラメータを再設定して、吸音材設計モデルを再設計するステップと、を実行する。【選択図】図3
