To provide a cable management system configured to improve performance of preventing theft of a cable without excessively burdening a purchaser of the cable.SOLUTION: A cable management system for managing a position of a cable includes: a position detection apparatus which detects a position of the cable shipped from a shipper to a delivery destination; a monitoring server; and a terminal device used by a user. The position detection apparatus transmits the detected position information to the monitoring server.
