Summary:To provide a printing method capable of suppressing generation of beading, and acquiring a recorded matter having excellent scratch resistance, glossiness and adhesion properties.SOLUTION: There is provided a printing method which executes to a non-permeable substrate, a primer application step, a color ink application step for applying a color ink to a region to which the primer is applied, and a clear ink application step for applying a clear ink to a region to which the color ink is applied, where the primer includes a cationic resin, a polyvalent metal salt, and a diethylene glycol alkyl ether-based organic solvent.
