Summary:To provide an accelerator capable of improving an ion beam extraction efficiency, and provide a particle beam therapy system.SOLUTION: An accelerator that is accelerated by a main magnetic field and an acceleration high frequency magnetic field while circulating an ion beam, includes a plurality of magnetic poles 8 and 9 arranged so as to be opposite each other; a main magnetic field magnet exciting the main magnetic field in a space nipped by each magnetic pole; a magnetic channel 1019 that takes out the ion beam toward an external part of the magnetic field magnet from an inner part of the main magnetic field magnet; a variation part that makes the ion beam circulated to a main magnetic filed region where the main magnetic field is excited variate to the outer side of the main magnetic field region; and a disturbance magnetic field region that is provided to an outer peripheral part of the main magnetic field region, applies disturbance to the ion beam deviated to the outer side, and excites a magnetic field for conducting it to a magnetic channel.
