Summary:To precisely adjust a distance to an artificial inclusion in a standard test piece in which the artificial inclusion whose size is previously measured is buried and whose base material is formed of steel.SOLUTION: There is provided a method of manufacturing a standard test piece TP used for acquiring information indicating a correlation between a size of a nonmetallic inclusion and the reflection echo intensity of ultrasonic flaw detection and having an inspection surface S1 where the ultrasonic flaw detection is performed at a first frequency F1. An artificial inclusion AI (whose size is previously measured) is buried such that a base material BM closely adheres to a pre-processing test piece PP whose base material BM is steel. The ultrasonic flaw detection is performed at a second frequency F2 to the pre-processing test piece PP. A burying distance D2 from a surface equivalent to the inspection surface S1 or a surface located on the opposite side to the inspection surface S1 to the artificial inclusion AI is measured. The inspection surface S1 is formed by performing removal processing to the pre-processing test piece PP such that a distance D1 from the inspection surface S1 to the artificial inclusion AI becomes a target distance Dtarg on the basis of the measured burying distance D2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】予めサイズが測定された人工介在物が埋設され、母材が鋼で形成された標準試験片において、人工介在物までの距離を精密に調整する。【解決手段】非金属介在物のサイズ及び超音波探傷の反射エコー強度の相関関係を示す情報を取得するために用いられ、第1周波数F1で超音波探傷が行われる検査面S1を有する標準試験片TPを製造する方法である。母材BMが鋼である加工前試験片PPに対して、母材BMに密着するように人工介在物AI(予めサイズが測定されたもの)を埋設する。加工前試験片PPに対して、第2周波数F2で超音波探傷を行い、検査面S1に相当する面又は、検査面S1とは反対側に位置する面から人工介在物AIまでの埋設距離D2を測定する。測定した埋設距離D2に基づいて、検査面S1から人工介在物AIまでの距離D1が目標距離Dtargとなるように、加工前試験片PPに対して除去加工を行うことにより検査面S1を形成する。【選択図】図3
