Summary: | To provide a recording device which can suppress lowering of glossiness of the surface of a recorded image, even in recording on a material having low ink absorptivity.SOLUTION: A recording device includes: a recording head for imparting ink containing a pigment, a water-soluble organic solvent and a resin for forming a film by being melted by heat onto a recording medium; conveyance means for conveying the recording medium; a first drying device which is arranged on the conveyance path of the recording medium by the conveyance means and dries the ink imparted by the recording medium by spraying gas; a second drying device which is arranged on the downstream side in the conveyance direction of the recording medium of the first drying device, and dries the ink imparted onto the recording medium by spraying gas; and control means for controlling the spraying of the gas by the first drying device and the spraying of the gas by the second drying device, so that the drying of the ink by the second drying device is performed with higher efficiency than the drying of the ink by the first drying device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
