Summary: | To provide a detection system having superior detection sensitivity.SOLUTION: A detection system comprises a formation member 26 forming a flow channel of detection-object liquid 25; and a detection device 1 detecting radiation in the detection-object liquid 25 flowing in the formation member 26. The detection device 1 comprises: a generation portion 2 which includes an aggregate 31 of phosphor particles 3 generating photons in response to incidence of radiation in the detection-object liquid 25, and a holding portion 4 which houses the aggregate 31 and through which the detection-object liquid 25 can flow; and a detection portion 5 detecting photons generated from the particles 3. The holding portion 4 comprises liquid passage portions 41 with openings 42 smaller than a particle diameter of the particles 3.
