To provide a rising aid that can vary rising assistance based on a user's operation and on a load on the aid.SOLUTION: A rising aid includes: a base (10); a shaft (12) which is connected to the base (10) in one end and vertically movable; a support (14) which is installed on the other end of the shaft (12); and a controller (56) which controls the movement of the shaft (12). The rising aid is also provided with a pair of left and right elbow pads (31) which respectively support both elbows of a user (J) and with grips (16) for the user to grip. The elbow pads (31) have a load sensor (54A) that detects the load of the user (J). Near the grips (16), there is installed a user operation part (52). In the controller (56), the load sensor detects a load and, when the user operation part (52) is operated, the controller performs control to start the aid of the rising movement of the user (J) or the aid of seating movement, which is the characteristic of the rising aid.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】利用者による操作、及び補助機にかかる荷重に基づいて立ち上がりの補助を変化し得る立ち上がり補助機を提供する。【解決手段】基部（１０）と、基部（１０）に一端が接続され上下動可能な軸部（１２）と、軸部（１２）の他端に設けられる支持部（１４）と、軸部（１２）の動きを制御する制御部（５６）と、を備え、利用者（Ｊ）の両肘部をそれぞれ支持する左右一対の肘当部（３１）と、利用者（Ｊ）が把持する把持部（１６）とを備え、肘当部（３１）は利用者（Ｊ）の荷重を検出する荷重センサ（５４Ａ）を有し、把持部（１６）の近傍に利用者操作部（５２）が設けられ、制御部（５６）は、荷重センサが荷重を検出し、かつ、利用者操作部（５２）を操作した場合に、利用者（Ｊ）の立ち上がり動作の補助、または着座動作の補助を開始する制御をおこなうことを特徴とする立ち上がり補助機である。【選択図】図１
