To provide an underpants-type absorbent article which can be worn even when an expansion rate of a waist member is high.SOLUTION: Provided is an underpants-type absorbent article (1), having an absorbent body (10) and a waist member (20) that is flexible in a right-left direction. The waist member (20) includes a front-side waist part (FA) and a back-side waist part (BA). The front-side waist part (FA) and the back-side waist part (BA) are joined to each other by a pair of side joints (40) that are provided on either side in the right-left direction.
