Summary:To provide an electric dust collector which suppresses deformation of a high voltage plate electrode due to thermal expansion, and maintains a gap between the high voltage plate electrode and a ground electrode.SOLUTION: An electric dust collector for collecting a particulate substance in exhaust gas by combustion of a diesel engine includes a cylindrical housing having an inlet in which the exhaust gas inflows, and an outlet from which the exhaust gas outflows, a charging part which is provided in the housing and charges the particulate substance, and a dust collection part which is connected to the outlet side of the charging part and collects the charged particulate substance, wherein the dust collection part has a plurality of high voltage plate electrodes, a plurality of ground electrodes arranged so as to be separated from the high voltage plate electrodes, and a high voltage support electrode for supporting the plurality of high voltage plate electrodes, the plurality of high voltage plate electrodes and the plurality of ground electrodes are arranged parallel to a direction perpendicular to a flow direction of the exhaust gas, and the high voltage support electrode connects the plurality of high voltage plate electrodes, and supports each of the plurality of high voltage plate electrodes by one point.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】高電圧平板電極の熱膨張による変形を抑制し、高電圧平板電極と接地電極との間のギャップを維持する電気集塵装置を提供すること。【解決手段】ディーゼルエンジンの燃焼による排ガス中の粒子状物質を捕集する電気集塵装置であって、前記排ガスが流入する入口と、前記排ガスが流出する出口とを有する筒型の筐体と、前記筐体内に設けられた、前記粒子状物質を帯電する帯電部と、前記帯電部の前記出口側に連接し、帯電した前記粒子状物質を集塵する集塵部と、を備え、前記集塵部は、複数の高電圧平板電極と、前記高電圧平板電極と離隔して配置された複数の接地電極と、前記複数の高電圧平板電極を支持する高電圧支持電極とを有し、前記複数の高電圧平板電極及び前記複数の接地電極は、前記排ガスの流通方向と直交する方向に並列に配置され、前記高電圧支持電極は、前記複数の高電圧平板電極を接続し、前記複数の高電圧平板電極のそれぞれを1点で支持する。【選択図】図2
