Summary:To provide an electric dust collector which collects particulate matters in exhaust gas occurring due to combustion of a diesel engine, enables reduction of adhesion of the particulate matters in the exhaust gas to surfaces of insulators, and maintains insulation quality of the insulators.SOLUTION: One embodiment of the invention relates to an electric dust collector which collects particulate matters in exhaust gas occurring due to combustion of a diesel engine and includes: a cylindrical housing having an inlet into which the exhaust gas flows, and an outlet from which the exhaust gas flows and in which high voltage electrodes are disposed; multiple air purge parts which are provided on a side surface of the housing at intervals in an axial direction of the housing and supply a gas to the interior of the housing; and multiple insulators respectively provided at the air purge parts and support the high voltage electrodes. A flow rate of the gas supplied to each of the air purge parts is set according to a pressure of the exhaust gas in a position of each of the air purge parts.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】ディーゼルエンジンの燃焼による排ガス中の粒子状物質を捕集する電気集塵装置であって、碍子の表面に排ガス中の粒子状物質が付着することを低減し、碍子の絶縁性を維持する電気集塵装置を提供すること。
