Summary:To provide a new unconventional ozone generator.SOLUTION: An ozone generator is used in a gas treatment apparatus for removing gas components in air by the oxidizing force of ozone. In the ozone generator, the average applied electric field applied between a high potential side electrode and a low potential side electrode is 2 kV/mm or more and 50 kV/mm or less, and the half-maximum width of the average applied electric field is 0.01 μ sec or more and 100 μ sec or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】従来にない新たなオゾン発生装置を実現する。【解決手段】オゾン発生装置は、オゾンの酸化力により空気中のガス成分を除去するガス処理装置で用いられる。このオゾン発生装置は、高電位側電極と低電位側電極間に印加される印加平均電界が２ｋＶ／ｍｍ以上５０ｋＶ／ｍｍ以下であり、印加平均電界の半値幅が０．０１μ秒以上１００μ秒以下である。【選択図】図１
