Summary:To provide an imaging apparatus capable of acquiring an image prevented from being blurred by performing the follow-up control of a subject.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 101 includes an apparatus shake detection part 208, an apparatus movement detection part 209, a plurality of rotation units 104 and 105, and a lens barrel rotation drive part 112. The imaging apparatus 101 detects subject information and performs the drive control of the rotation units 104 and 105 on the basis of the detected subject information, to change the imaging direction of an imaging part 205 and perform the follow-up control of the subject and the control of image blur correction.
