Summary:To accurately calculate the amount of wear of an OPC drum with a simple and inexpensive configuration.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus (1) is provided with: a monochrome OPC drum (21B); a color OPC drum (21A); an electrifier (22A) that electrifies a surface of photosensitive layer (29A) of the color OPC drum; a developing unit (23A) that performs development by using developer including toner and carrier; and a calculation unit (42) that calculates the amount of wear of the photosensitive layer of the color OPC drum. The electrifier electrifies the photosensitive layer of the color OPC drum during monochrome printing to a surface potential for preventing toner adhesion and carrier adhesion to the color OPC drum.
