To provide a cavity with a window which can seal a light-emitting element which emits light in a horizontal direction and can accurately adjust the angle formed by the optical axis of the light-emitting element and the surface for drawing light from the light-emitting element as accurately as designed.SOLUTION: The cavity with a window includes: two flat plates facing each other; a side wall arranged between the two flat plates, the side wall being directly joined to the two flat plates; and a space unit surrounded by the two flat plates and the side wall. The side wall has an opening part connected to the space unit.
