To provide an optical fiber cable efficiently exhibiting high flame retardancy.SOLUTION: An optical fiber cable 1 is constituted of a core part 15, a press-wrapping member 7, tension members 9, tear strings 11a, a sheath 13, a flame-retardant sheet 17 and the like. The core part 15 is composed of a plurality of coated optical fibers 3. The press-wrapping member 7 is disposed on an outer periphery of the core part 15. The outer periphery of the core part 15 (press-wrapping member 7) is covered by the resin-made sheath 13. The sheath 13 has an inner layer 13a disposed on an outer peripheral side of the core part 15 (press-wrapping member 7) and an outer layer 13b exposed on an outer surface of the optical fiber cable 1. That is, the sheath 13 has an at least two-layer structure and the flame-retardant sheet 17 is disposed between the inner layer 13a and the outer layer 13b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】 効率よく難燃性の高い光ファイバケーブルを提供する。【解決手段】 光ファイバケーブル１は、コア部１５、押さえ巻き部材７、テンションメンバ９、引き裂き紐１１ａ、外被１３、難燃シート１７等により構成される。コア部１５は、複数の光ファイバ心線３からなる。コア部１５の外周には、押さえ巻き部材７が配置される。コア部１５（押さえ巻き部材７）の外周は、樹脂製の外被１３によって被覆される。ここで、外被１３は、コア部１５（押さえ巻き部材７）の外周側に配置される内層１３ａと、光ファイバケーブル１の外面に露出する外層１３ｂとを有する。すなわち、外被１３は、少なくとも２層構造であり、内層１３ａと外層１３ｂとの間には、難燃シート１７が配置される。【選択図】図１
